Here is a great reason to keep training - another local tournement for Toronto!

As you might be aware - The MMA Expo is returning to Toronto June 12 & 13. Part of the exhibit this year are 2 grappling tournaments.

Abu Dhabi Pro Jiu Jitsu trails (GI) & ADCC Sumbission Fighting trials (NO GI). For those of us who simply want to compete as much as we can - it's another great opportunity to gain some experience. For those players who are more advanced and who might look at these events as a ticket to the middle east - let's have a closer look at the prizes.

Abu Dhabi Pro Jiu Jitsu trails (GI) - June 12
Prizes: Absolute Division Winner receive all Airfar, Hotel and Registration Fee to the Abu Dhabi World Championships in 2011. The Top 3 winners in each division can compete in the Absolute

ADCC Sumbission fighting trials (NO GI) - June 13

Other info:
Pre-Registration only. No walk-ins on the day of the tournament.

So you see - it is not quite the same as the Canian Pro Trials with regard to prizes but not all of us look to compete to actually qualify for the trip to the UAE. For most of us - it's simply another local tournament.

For Toronto BJJ members, as with all local tournaments, our attendance will be decided by Professor Britto. I'm pretty happy because, if we enter a team, I won't feel as bad about missing the BJJ Kombat Classic on May 29th (Going to Scout Camp...).

If you need further details - the facebook pages will be able to help out.

I'm going to shut up now and go train - see you on the mats!

Scott
