I have been thinking about what to do with the site for the last few months...where to go with it or what 'unique' content can I come up with that you would like. Part of me feels too bashful to blog in a 'look at me, look at the things I am doing' style. It doesn't fit who I am and I find it totally uninteresting. And another part of me is conflicted. I wish to do some videos but I don't think Blue Belts should be the ones giving instruction.

That leaves me with a few options for videos.

Develop videos that incorporate my Brown and Black belt instructors demonstrating the techniques instead of me. That makes sense. I was also thinking that if I was to make some videos, they do not need to be tutorials. They could simply be demonstrations of 'things I have learned'. As an example I want to do a video that looks at 'the mechanics of choking' because I think I am getting more comfortable with the details of 'deep collar grips' and positioning your 'blade' in order to attack the cross choke. I would like to show 'what I have learned' and how I use this to be able to apply chokes from many positions. But I feel I don't have the credibility yet for this.

I've also been messing around with video blogging which is quick and kinda fun. (watch)

One of the first video's that you will see here at ScottOnTheNet features one of Toronto BJJ's Judo instructors, Mike Nomikos (pic). He is teaching me a few things about 'throwing people' and I have recorded our first class. The first episode will be available right here very soon. I have already picked up some great tips from him. You can take Judo at Toronto BJJ on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 9pm with Sensei Bobby Currie and Sensei Mike Nomikos.

Do post some suggestions for me. I have been asked to interview Eduardo Dib (Toronto BJJ's co-instructor) and I intend to do this. I would like to be the first to speak with him when he gets his Black Belt which should be within weeks?

...until then - I'll keep serving up nuggets I know we all love. How about some Politicians Fighting?
