When I flip through the contacts in my Black Berry I always get amused I have Saulo's number. I've never called him up or sent him a smiley face on SMS. I happened to get it from him when he was here in 2010 teaching at Toronto BJJ while Professor Britto was in Brazil and I was trying to get him on the Newstalk radio station I work for. It was during a week that Saulo had 1 mission for his soldiers. Pull off the perfect class.

That week will always stand out in my mind. It was as close to military style training as I have ever been exposed to at the academy. Not in the training itself necessarily but in the 'order' in which Saulo ran the classes. He was in charge and made it clear. And he wanted the best from you. I think he got it.

It was also clear that there was a purpose to this training as there was often a small camera crew following Saulo. See?

I gathered that he was getting footage for a future DVD. But this video which is shot in and around Bloor and Christie here in Toronto (too soon?) was filmed during an intense week where Saulo had us alone, his own student's students. This is featured in this clip.

The video was put on Facebook by a Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu member and I am wondering if there will be more.
