A fast rising star in Canadian Jiu Jitsu, Melissa Biscardi ( Purple Belt ) is 2009's World Champion in Gi and No Gi. Canada's first ever Gold I believe. I had the chance in December to catch up and chat about her successes in 2009 (both locally and internationally), plans for 2010 competition and the growth of Womens Jiu Jitsu. From why she trains everyday to why she thinks you see fewer women than men practising the martial art there are alot of great insights in this video.
