And the big news this weekend was - all of a sudden, MMA has got the green light in Ontario and sanctioned events are due to begin next year.
Looks like the UFC have been doing some serious lobbying at the Ontario Legislature @ Queens Park within weeks of their new Toronto offices being announced.
This is exciting for Toronto and for many of my team mates who are training in MMA. It will allow them great opportunities for sponsorship and fights locally. It will also bring in millions of dollars when the UFC roll into the Rogers Centre (formerly the Skydome).
