Montreal's World Jiu Jitsu Pro Trials will this year feature one of modern Jiu Jitsu's innovators - Ryan Hall. The Brasa Black Belt under Felipe Costa is gaining recognition in the same way Eddie Bravo did for his unique flexibility and his part in the development of a new style of BJJ - the 50/fifty guard (which is also used by the Mendes Brothers). He has what I call 'arm legs and hand feet' ... in a kind of Renzo Gracie way. When you see him rolling he is using his legs with as much freedom and control as his arms..and that allows him to catch many different moves and transitions.

It's very artful don't you think? I'm looking forward to seeing him in action this weekend, although I have team mates in his division....
