The sleeping Gods took away my Thursday evening! This is the second week in a row that my lack of sleep has meant I have missed class. When I get in from work I usually have a nap for 30-60 minutes. Last night I got in from work and my nap lasted until 1am? My poor dog...
Work is kicking my ass, I'm training at night and I am not going to bed until 2-3am. Then I am up at 7ish.
Last week I missed Friday's class because I was just burnt out. After work I came home and slept for 14 hours (No kidding...I went to bed at 7pm for a nap and woke up the next day).
With the increased training workload and the added mental fatigue from work I really need to be getting to bed much earlier. The more sleep I get the more my battery remains charged, the more I recover and sleep gives my shoulder the most chance of total rest.
Sleep is a heightened anabolic state, accentuating the growth and rejuvenation of the immune, nervous, skeletal and muscular systems. It is observed in all mammals, all birds, and many reptiles, amphibians, and fish. Like 'Sleeping' on Facebook here
If you are meant to 'equal parts rest' then I am way off. I probably need to lay off the 11pm coffee too.
Sidenote: Do you do Jiu Jitsu in your sleep? I'm pretty sure I keep taking my duvet's back and get my hooks in or rear naked choke my pillows...Apparently I am an 'aggressive sleeper' ...which apparently means I brawl and curse during my sleep.
