Even if you only train for a short time you should wash your GI before you go on the mats the next day. Impetigo for a start. Impetigo is a mild staph infection where your skin basically starts attacking itslef and falls off in blisters. You have to go on medication (either pills or cream) and you are highly contagious. You can get this skin infection from a scrape or GI burn that comes in contact with nasty bacteria - the type that would be on a GI that has not been cleaned since the day before...
