When your hands get sore from choking people

About this time last year I wrote an article detailing 'Grappling with Sore Fingers' that had some tidbits about icing and reducing swelling...and here we are 12 months later and I'm back writing about the same complaint. I guess that's what you get for choking people.

Jiu Jitsu definately changes your hands and fingers. So to take better care of myself I am starting to tape. "Tape is kneepads from your fingers" Professor Bitto says and if you train with Judo players or prefer deep collar grips you will likely start to develop callused, swollen knuckles. It's just the way of it. I'm getting sausage fingers.

I've learned through some websites how to tape the fingers I need to protect them but not restrict the movement or blood flow too much. And am back on the Glucosamine for the placebo effect. Plus I take these (as recommended by Nicole Dinn) to help with the joints as they are made for Cardiovascular health too.

Health Benefits:
Cardiovascular health
Joint health & mobility
Brain and eye function
Positive mood & emotional well-being
Pain & inflammatory support
Promotes optimal fat metabolism
Immune system health

...just thought I would share..there are tips on icing here
